Nokia 500 1GHz processor 5MP camera

The Nokia 500 will be the mass production of the new Nokia Symbian range, as it has the lowest specs out of your bunch announced in time for the vacation shopping craze. With that said, it’s zero slouch, as it sports a reasonable display with 229ppi pixel density, 5MP camera and also a 1GHz processor, based, however, on your older ARM 11 architecture. The new generation of 1GHz Symbian- powered phones could get far. They need a place to get started on though and the Nokia 500 is thrilled to help. The common belief seems to be that you have more exciting things than Symbian with a budget. OK, well, the Nokia 500 is meant to make you reconsider.

Nokia 500

Never mind the sound of an 1GHz processor, this phone doesn’t head starting small. The Nokia 500 is hitting the shelves with Anna inside plus the upcoming Belle gives it extra price. By the way, the Nokia 500 seems to make enough sense even without bigger software. The Finns have more than a few basic smartphones whose owners will be delighted with the news of a next smartphone to the masses. The Finns have skimped on items like an LED flash, and the internal memory – your handset has only 2GB - to reduce expenses. The Nokia 500 ships with Symbian Anna unlike all of those other new kids on the Symbian stop, but is expected to receive a Belle upgrade further as time goes on.

Nokia didn’t skimp on hardware to present the 500 a bump in brand and data speed. The excellent connectivity package is hard to beat inside low end with goodies like no cost SatNav and penta-band HSPA coverage. Your 3. 2” plain LCD display is just not with the best viewing angles around, but it’s bright enough, and, due to Nokia’s usual 360x640 pixels, sports 229ppi pixel occurrence, which is above average for your phone’s category, and helps when looking at small text.

Nokia 500

On the other side, they needed to match the electrical power hike with cuts in other sectors. It’s always a matter of balance inside low end after all. The all-plastic finish and garden variety TFT display are things you can live with and we think the exchangeable covers might help the target audience agree. Nokia 500 quit us with mixed feelings. The spotty internet browser and the poor camera performance quit a bitter taste and we found it hard to spell out the UI as fluid or sensitive. In fact, more often than not it turned out downright laggy.

Nokia 500

Nokia 500, we’ve seen this new 1GHz computer hardware platform do much better elsewhere so we are going to blame it all on the non-optimized software that's rushed to the market. Of course that’s where we got our review unit – quickly the store shelves. And we ought to say, it performed worse than your pre-market sample we previewed earlier.
