New antenna design and enhanced signal reception in poor signal places

But let's go back and start at the start. Every year, a new iPhone is raising the bar for that industry. Usually, it's half a point up - a complete point on special occasions. The apple iphone 4 was such a special occasion. The iPhone 4S may be the half-point type. There probably is nothing special about this. At least, not on the outdoors.

No, we didn't mean that. The iPhone 4S is still among the best looking smartphones we've seen. There's just nothing new on the exterior to suggest the amount of work done about the innards. And the iOS 5 is just half of the story.

The iPhone 4S is promoted towards the dual-core league and has more effective graphics. There's a major boost in order to imaging too, with 8MP stills as well as 1080p video. And on top from it all, Apple try to take voice recognition to some new level with Siri. All in most, the iPhone 4S is a different phone under the hood. A brand new device that's been developed for months.

On the additional hand, it’s a phone you've currently seen. You probably have it in the pocket these days. And the list of cons does problem, doesn't it? Ah, there you proceed. We knew you’d notice. The last thing Apple needed was another Antennagate – and so far as we can tell, they’ve had this sorted out.

Apple will probably let that one slip by with a shy, nearly apologetic, “Don’t mention it”. But they’ll certainly feel eligible for at least some gratitude for another stuff in the new iPhone 4S. Such things as the dual core CPU and improved GPU, iOS 5 and iCloud integration, the brand new cameraphone credentials and Siri, the she-Jeeves from the digital age.

iPhone 4 Antenna controversy

Following the introduction of the iPhone 4, a large number of consumers reporting poor reception after holding the phone every metal band that runs along the edge of the device. The band has four redesigned iPhone built-in antenna, which runs the length of the frame. To preserve and improve the ability to access the internal devices, metal band has broken up into three parts, with three joints visible in the bottom left, bottom right, and left on the iPhone 4

You frustration. It source in direct contact with the joints, especially in the lower left is assumed, thus deleting the quality of the connection, if not entirely cut off. While Apple has confirmed the problem, they have confirmed no guidance or suggestion for a reasonable solution, in addition to simply avoid the phone in a way that covers the fields or applications.

iPhone 4, At first we did not find that the connectivity that many users have reported, and found that we complete is a fairly constant 3G connectivity. Try as we are, we can not mimic the effects have, until we are in an area with 3G connectivity only average or weak. In this scenario, our fingers are on the bottom of the metal band has a serious impact on the quality of our reception. While we never lose the signal at all, we are reduced to a single bar on the Edge network from AT & T.

Fortunately, most users are not likely to encounter this problem, because almost everyone decide to use a protective sleeve of some sort, it is certainly far from ideal and a massive surveillance on behalf of Apple.

The Bottom Line iPhone 4

When all is said and done, the iPhone 4 is a wonderful device, and one of the best smartphones. Although not without errors, the overall usability and look great and the unit will undoubtedly set the industry standard again.

However iPhone 4, FaceTime is a futuristic vision to life to some degree. There is a certain "wow" moment when you first start FaceTime calls, which in part, with the awareness that you can easily press contacts and friends within a few seconds to see them on your screen. Although video streaming is not an integral part of smartphones FaceTime is quite smooth in the implementation of video conferencing and produced some impressive clear and smooth. In our experience we can have a chat with other iPhone users for four long sessions without interruption or degradation.

But FaceTime, HD video recording, and the new high resolution display is only possible through the application processor Apple A4, which is the same chipset that powers the iPad. The advantages of the A4 chip is not immediately apparent when loading the application, but if you look, they will feel about the menus and how fast can you scroll through the media. Gone are the days when your iPhone chugs or stop in the middle of a progress bar - iPhone 4 directly by the breeze.

iPhone 4 vs. iPhone 3G Speed Test

In terms of games, the A4 processor, and retina display delivers crisp, clean graphics and the inclusion of a built-in gyroscope to improve tracking accuracy and orientation, although the current games that take advantage of new hardware a bit. However, they hold great promise for the future potential of the iPhone 4 games. Eliminate: GunRange prove that the gyro is ideal for precise aiming. Brave New Real Racing HD optics (available via a free upgrade) from the retina screen pop - and that's just the ground floor of the four iPhone games. Savvy developers can take advantage of the additional power, better display, and the top to play, which currently exceeds the App Store to create.

With all the extra processing power, and a host of new features, the battery must have the attention. Fortunately, Apple has a full battery is larger, more efficient in the iPhone 4, but offers a surprising amount of extra batteries. Instead, a new battery will only managed to offset the new features, and the same amount of battery life for 3G, which is about 6 or 7 hours of operation of a rigorous, 10 or 11 hours of standard is used, and the days of standby power. We want to see further improvements in this area, but it is an acceptable compromise for functions.

As attractive as the iPhone form factor of four, is what under the hood and on-screen software to attract consumers. It makes the iPhone 4, several important improvements over iPhone 3G, provides powerful new A4 processor, the same as that currently iPad in the power supply, a new handset called ultra-high pixel density screen, Apple she retinal display is used. Apple has crammed four times as many pixels 3.5-inch screen, iPhone 4, at 326 pixels per inch really. The result? Retina display has some clear, sharp images, and the most detailed, text and video that we see on mobile devices. Words or video can not properly represent the retina display makes a difference - it will be seen to be fully exploited. In fact, retinal display perhaps the most innovative additions to the iPhone 4, how small or insignificant as it may sound.

To complement the new Retina Display, Apple has put a lot of work into an integrated camera, the lens adds iPhone to iPhone 4 5-megapixel camera, complete with LED flash. With these numbers is a 5-megapixel lens small potatoes in the mobile market, for many listeners has a megapixel camera 8 or more, but it makes up for it with some surprising light response sensors and processing, the photographs are produced in great detail that rivals some standalone point-and-shoots. Distant objects are always in focus, and the photos in low yield a mixture of light in an image or a situation surprisingly functional. We also noticed that the camera is also much stronger focus on in terms of, is faster autofocus and press-to-focus feature of the response was almost 01.01.

For the first time the iPhone will now be able to capture 720p HD video, which in turn uses the new light sensor. We have record high-definition video on a smartphone before, especially as seen one of the biggest competitors Android platform, EVO 4G, but the iPhone 4 takes the cake in terms of quality. While others on the arrests, washed the number of video pixels on the iPhone 4 smooth, clear and less than other smartphones we've used, so solid all-in-one alternative to a compact HD video camera, like the flip HD. Sure, there are always asks questions related to the recording on such a small device - shaking, a lot of movement, etc. - but with a steady hand and good eye, you can definitely hit some interesting video of the iPhone camera 4

Apple has also added a front facing camera in addition to take to the users the ability to clear pictures of yourself so that the iPhone 4 to create real-time video calls with FaceTime. Users can select with FaceTime to make standard calls to anyone in their contact list, or a video call. This feature is seamlessly integrated into the core campaign of phone calls and can use the commands in the Address Book for SMS, e-mail, or call to find the contact. There are several limitations recognized FaceTime frustration, however, both as a user with a Wi-Fi connection, and both must use the iPhone 4. Fortunately, Apple hinted they plan to use the user the features through the 3G, but only to improve the wireless service providers in their networks. There is also the possibility of application developers can get the front facing camera and brings enhanced voice chat function - can anyone say, Skype, or even a mobile chat roulette?

The appeal of Apple products are not rooted in the use of revolutionary concepts, but a careful refinement of existing ones. The iPhone 4 is not appropriate. In many ways it is the height of the now four-generation Apple smartphone technology - keep many or most, a trademark of platforms, but serve it with some new ones are significant, and in a form factor very new. But the iPhone 4 is certainly not without fault, and although they probably have little impact on the commercial success, they leave much room for improvement, and there is no doubt that by this time next year Apple will these improvements with the next introduce iteration. But can the iPhone 4 and imperfections that stand alone as a viable product hard earned money from the public?

Note iPhone 4 Video Review

It is only appropriate to start, that we most immediately recognizable, the iPhone with the iPhone 4 change - design. The iPhone 4 is the second major aesthetic improvement in the short history of the three products, and we will dare to call it the best-looking design, but, if not one of the largest search for smart phone design for decades. 4 The iPhone is sleek and clean. He adheres to a strict minimalist view of the trade panel for the silver lining on the horizon, round and flat surfaces and edges of a simple and functional stainless steel. The buttons on the side of the device is not designed aerodynamically to the telephone enclosure to create a seamless piece of hardware, but larger and extends for a better tactile identification and use.

The iPhone 4 was heavy and the road ready not like the iPhone 3G that looks and feels like it has a removable section. But in reality, the iPhone 4 just as sensitive as his brother, if not more. Apple's decision, a tempered glass panels, all materials on the surface are not only forward, but the back as well. Although they claim that they doubt the ability to strengthen the glass material, that we could have a direct impact without cracking or chipping to get upright. Glass panes are also very susceptible to stains that keep us cautious for them free of fingerprints gadgets pretty frustrating. But to be fair, most users tend to the case with any kind of screen protector to use.
